Instructions:

    Spread evenly over the crust. Return dish to the freezer for another 10 minutes.
  4. Pudding Layer:

    Spread pudding over the chilled cream cheese layer. Chill the dish for 30 minutes.
  5. Cherry Layer:
    Gently spoon cherry pie filling over the pudding layer, spreading evenly.
  6. Top & Finish:
    Spread the remaining whipped topping over the cherry layer.
    Sprinkle with chopped pecans or walnuts.
  7. Chill:
    Cover and refrigerate for 1–2 hours (or longer) before serving to let the layers firm up.
